Introduction to Research Study

This course designed to synthesize the knowledge and skills in the educational field and apply them to produce the Master Research Project. The Master Research Project is the major undertaking that demonstrate mastery to the field of study and contributes knowledge to the field. Students will focus in all aspects of developing and carrying out the Master Research Project. Besides of formulating comprehensive introduction or Basis for the Study, or Orientation to the Problem, Defining the Problem Statement, Writing the Hypotheses or Questions, Writing the Review of the Literature (building a case for the need for the study) and Articulating the Study Design, students are required to analyse data, interpret the results and draw discussions, conclusions and recommendation in the research project. Working closely as appropriate with their supervisor/advisor, at the end of the course, students are able to submit a scientific Master Research Project and align with the policies and guidelines published by the University.

Objectives :

i develop a research report by synthesizing the knowledge and skills in the area of study and research
ii demonstrate and use appropriate and relevant terminologies, concepts, theories, research methodology and analyses
iii write a clear research report and demonstrate ability to manage information from related literature
iv practice research ethics and responsible conduct in research
v manage and work autonomously in an effective manner, and show enthusiasm and eagerness in seeking knowledge
